Keeping Everyone Safe

In order to enroll in daycare at Hidden Gem, all pets MUST undergo a free evaluation before being approved. In addition to the evaluation, all pets must be altered, which is typically completed between the ages of 6-months to a year.

Additionally, ALL required vaccines MUST be up to date and provided to Hidden Gem within 7 days of services.

Dogs

  • Rabies – 1 or 3 Year
  • Distemper – 1 or 3 year
  • Parvovirus – 1 or 3 year
  • Leptospirosis – 1 year (sometimes a 3 year “combo”)
  • Bordetella – *EVERY 6 MONTHS (we offer oral kennel cough vaccinations to those eligible, call our boarding office for an appointment)
  • Fecal- Negative fecal test for Daykamp participants required every 6 months, boarding required once a year (we offer fecal testing for all our clients, call our boarding office for an appointment)

Cats

  • Rabies – 1 or 3 year
  • Feline Distemper – 1 or 3 year
  • Leukemia – OUTDOOR CATS/OR CATS WHO HAVE NOT HAD A NEGATIVE COMBO TEST
  • Combo Test (FIV/FeLV) – proof of negative results – FOR INDOOR CATS ONLY!

For both dogs and cats, we advise year round Flea/Tick/Heartworm prevention.
